LEED supports balanced solution to California’s budget, economic challenge

The following letter from LEED was sent to Governor Jerry Brown on March 15, 2011:

Dear Governor Brown:

The employer and education leaders who comprise the board of directors of LEED – Linking Education
and Economic Development, encourage you and our legislative leaders from both political parties to
develop a balanced resolution to California’s fiscal and economic challenge.

We urge state leaders to approve a solution that includes revenue extensions, spending reductions
and thoughtful reforms to improve California’s economic climate. Additionally, we urge state leaders
to continue to prioritize support for public education across the P-20 spectrum.  More
